The micro-DPU is a compact, GPON fiber link extender with modular
interfaces for the uplink and downlink physical layer media. By incorporating cages for small form-factor pluggable (SFP) modules, the micro-DPU can easily be configured at the installation site by plugging-in the needed SFP module in the corresponding uplink/downlink port. The micro-DPU runs a mainline OpenWrt distribution and can be used stand-alone as a fiber link extender for a SFU or as a fully managed node in a co-located cluster of units for MDU deployments.
