New for 2023, the Start-up of the Year Award recognises the most innovative start-up, that has showcased potential over the last year for high growth and purpose-driven impact.

CRITERIA:

To take part, the startup nominated should either be based in East Africa or have substantial involvement in East African tech or telecommunications.

TIMELINE:

Nominations close on Tuesday 14 March
Shortlisted people notified and announced on Tuesday 14 March
Public vote opens on Tuesday 14 March
Finalists (determined by public vote) announced on Wednesday 15 April

CEREMONY:

The winners of the 2023 East Africa Com Awards will be unveiled during a celebratory drinks reception taking place on 25 April.
