Eligibility Criteria: 

Must be an African-based company: The nominee should be a company with a significant presence and operations in Africa. It should be headquartered or have substantial operations within the continent, and its fintech innovation should primarily target the African market.

Must demonstrate innovation: The nominated organisation should have introduced a ground-breaking fintech innovation that brings new solutions, products, or services to the financial industry. This can include areas such as digital payments, mobile banking, lending platforms, insurtech, blockchain-based solutions, robo-advisory services, regtech, or other innovative fintech offerings.

Must have made a significant impact: The nominated organisations’ fintech innovation should have made a significant impact and disrupted traditional approaches within the financial services sector. It should have introduced new efficiencies, improved access to financial services, enhanced customer experiences, or solved specific challenges faced by businesses or individuals in Africa.

Must contribute to financial inclusion: The nominee's fintech innovation should contribute to advancing financial inclusion in Africa. It should demonstrate a commitment to reaching underserved populations, unbanked or underbanked individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), or other marginalized groups, fostering their participation in the formal financial ecosystem.
