The Smart Cities People's Choice Award is a recognition of the outstanding achievements of an individual working on progressing the smart cities mission across their community.

It will independently recognise, showcase and award the person that most embodies the essence of the smart cities mission, and will be voted for by the entire smart cities community.

Anyone can enter, but there will be only one winner!

Here’s how it works:

Nominations are open to everyone. You can enter yourself, your colleague or community peer

Nominations close on Friday 23rd February 2018

Our speaker faculty at this year’s Smart to Future Cities Summit will then decide a shortlist (they can’t vote for themselves!)

The shortlist will be released on Tuesday 2nd March – each shortlisted member will be made aware the day before

Each shortlisted member will then receive a personal voting page to share with their community

Voting will be open from the 2nd March, until 4pm of day 1 of Smart to Future Cities Summit on the 25th April

The Prize: 

  • Personalised trophy presented on the 25th April
  • A 10min speaking slot on the 26th April to share their story
  • An 1-2-1 interview with our editorial team of
  • 1 free pass to IoT World Europe (13-14 June, London)
  • PLUS a £250 donation to the charity of the winners choice (must be a registered charity in the UK or EU)

Who wins? It’s simple. 

The shortlisted member who gains the most support from their community, by gaining the most votes will win the 2018 Smart Cities People Choice Award!

Our winner will be announced at 6pm during the drinks reception at the Smart to Future Cities Summit on the 25th April in London. Each shortlisted member will be invited as our guest to join the reception.
